LGMA Governance
Steering Committee
The LGMA Steering Committee is the core governance body guiding the Constituency’s strategy year-round. It helps shape and implement the shared multi-year advocacy strategy, supports coordinated positions and actions, and strengthens the global positioning of the LGMA across the climate agenda. The Steering Committee also provides oversight of thematic Working Groups and helps ensure that the Constituency’s advocacy remains coordinated, strategic, and inclusive.

Working Groups
The LGMA thematic Working Groups will be convened soon to support the delivery of the Constituency’s advocacy strategy. They will bring together thematic expertise and coordination on priority areas related to the UNFCCC negotiations and the wider global climate agenda.
Working groups will help develop coordinated advocacy positions and technical inputs for the LGMA Advocacy Position and related publications. They will also support year-round engagement across relevant climate policy discussions, while strengthening collaboration among organizations and experts across the Constituency.
Thematic areas will be determined by the Steering Committee based on advocacy priorities and emerging opportunities. Recent areas of work have included multilevel action and CHAMP, climate finance, adaptation, just transition, loss and damage, food systems, the Action Agenda, and integrated outcomes across climate, biodiversity, and pollution.
