Ecomobility is about more than emissions

As this year's Climate COP starts to draw to a close, there are still a number of key topics to consider. Today at the summit, talks will focus on transport, as this remains one of the key emitting sectors around the globe. Transport emissions have grown faster than many other sectors over the last 50 years and will continue to grow in the coming decades.

At the Multilevel Action Pavilion we'll be relating this important topic to the city and regional level and focus on what sustainable mobility means for cities. Cities are already taking action to meet the challenge of climate change and are raising the ambition towards net-zero transport.

At 10:00 GMT today, an event hosted by ICLEI will delve deeply. Game On: City Ambitions Towards Future-Proof and Equitable Mobility Systems aims to bring together ambitious plans and actions in achieving net-zero in transport, where transportation stands now with respect to climate change emergency, where it needs to go, and how to get there while bridging the gap between ambition and action.

Cities & Regions in the spotlight

"Having a coordinated approach has increased a shared understanding - and helped us to assist partners on the ground and cities. This project has taught us a lot about how we can work together."
