Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra, Finnish Climate Change Panel and Finnish Institute for International Affairs

The Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra, together with the Finnish Climate Change Panel and Finnish Institute for International Affairs organized the Finnish Climate Summit in Helsinki on Wednesday 13 June from 9:00 – 14:15. This high-level event gathered international speakers and Finnish influencers to discuss how we can move further and faster in tackling the climate crisis. The Summit will be opened by the President of Finland, H.E. Sauli Niinistö.

The Finnish Climate Summit has been recognised by the UNFCCC as a part of the Talanoa process.

The event provided a platform for companies, local government, investors and others to announce new climate commitments and actions.

About Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra, Finnish Climate Change Panel and Finnish Institute for International Affairs

Sitra, the Finnish Innovation Fund, is an independent public foundation which operates directly under the supervision of the Finnish Parliament. The Finnish Climate Panel is an independent, interdisciplinary think tank of top-level Finnish scholars. The Panel provides scientific advice for policy-making and reinforces interdisciplinary insight in the operation of different sectors. The Finnish Institute of International Affairs is an independent research institute located in Töölö, Helsinki, that produces topical information on international relations and the European Union.
